1000 Incident free Day’s worked on Eastbourne WTW (Lamellas & BAFFS)
Works began at Eastbourne WWTW in March 2016, since then CMDP have achieved many key milestones ranging from innovations through to achieving a safe collaborate working environment utilising the CBS principles and promoting industry leading wellbeing standards.
Due to the duration of the works and the various specialist contractors required to complete the works, the project had to cope with a frequently changing workforce so ensuring daily safe systems of work in a highly challenging environment was a key driver.
All works are carried out in an underground facility, (that is almost the size of 2 football pitches), and requires constant vigilance with hazards such as working at height, confined space working, exposure to elevated levels of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) and the need to remain safety focused at all times.
As with all CMDP sites, we undertook Quality, Safety, CBS, Engineering and Wellbeing Audits with the SLT with support from the Corporate Business. The site was rewarded with some excellent feedback and a very big thank you to the Team for achieving this impressive milestone.
