Solar Farms

Solar farms are large scale applications of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, providing a source of safe, locally produced renewable energy for many years after construction.

Solar farms in Kent and East Sussex require steel structures and enclosures to secure and support the control equipment. R&B have worked closely with one of the UK’s largest companies and completed structures at several sites.

London’s Red buses going Green

R&B  have been involved in the transformation of London’s bus fleet by retrofitting thousands of buses to greener and cleaner hybrid, electric or hydrogen powered vehicles.

In central London, all double-deck buses are now hybrid and all single-deck buses will emit zero exhaust emissions. By 2037, all 9,200 buses across London will be zero emission.

It is expected to reduce NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) emissions by 84 per cent and thousands of children will benefit from cleaner air.

Gas Generators

R&B have helped suppliers with the installation and commissioning of 2mw bio gas powered generators at 20 sites throughout the UK to assist with the power shortage from the national grid.

Compared to diesel power generation, gas generators have much lower Sulphur, NOx and Greenhouse gas emissions. The reduction in environmental impact is not only confined to lower emission levels but also the eliminated need for storage tanks or fuel deliveries via highly-polluting tankers.
